What Obiklip is

Obiklip is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that turns a long recording into short clips you can post. Give it an hour of talking - a podcast, a lecture, a sermon, an interview, a webinar - and it hands back the moments worth sharing, cut, subtitled and shaped for wherever they are going.

Choose how you pay for AI: processing minutes with Obiklip PAYG (Pay As You Go), or your own OpenAI API key with the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) edition, new in 2.3.0. Neither edition has an Obiklip subscription. PAYG includes thirty free minutes to get started.

Try a different angle on the same recording and keep every analysis as its own set of clips. Prepare the words for your post alongside the video, save a clip's subtitles separately, and work in an editor with dedicated Clip, Subtitle, Output and Post Copy tabs.

• BYOK: activate a software license and use your own OpenAI key. Choose an analysis model available to your key.
• More ways to find clips: request up to 48 candidates, with clip types, written directions and timestamps to guide the analysis.
• Keep each attempt: switch between saved analyses without losing the earlier set of clips.
• Ready to post: generate a hook, title, caption, quote and hashtags.
• Subtitle files: export a single clip's subtitles as SRT, plain text or styled ASS.
• Translation: translate clip titles and descriptions along with the transcript.
• Smoother editing: resize the editor panels, play large local videos more reliably, and update video tools from Settings.

The good part is already in there

You talked for an hour, and you know there were five good minutes in it. You remember saying them. Getting them out is the part nobody enjoys: dragging the playhead back and forth, guessing where the sentence began, cutting, watching it again, cutting again. An evening goes, and you have two clips you are not sure about.

So the recording gets posted whole, or it does not get posted at all. The best thing you said that month sits inside a file nobody opens twice.

Obiklip sits through the hour so you do not have to. It comes back with the moments that stand on their own, already cut where the thought starts and where it ends, with the words on screen and the frame the right shape for the place you are posting to.
