Obiklip

Turn long-form spoken video into short, publish-ready clips.

Version 2.0.0 macOS and Windows

What Obiklip is

Obiklip is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that turns a long recording into short clips you can post. Give it an hour of talking - a podcast, a lecture, a sermon, an interview, a webinar - and it hands back the moments worth sharing, cut, subtitled and shaped for wherever they are going.

Nothing to set up, no key to paste, no subscription. Install it, sign in, and the first thirty minutes of video you analyse are free.

The good part is already in there

You talked for an hour, and you know there were five good minutes in it. You remember saying them. Getting them out is the part nobody enjoys: dragging the playhead back and forth, guessing where the sentence began, cutting, watching it again, cutting again. An evening goes, and you have two clips you are not sure about.

So the recording gets posted whole, or it does not get posted at all. The best thing you said that month sits inside a file nobody opens twice.

Obiklip sits through the hour so you do not have to. It comes back with the moments that stand on their own, already cut where the thought starts and where it ends, with the words on screen and the frame the right shape for the place you are posting to. Every one of them is a starting point, not a verdict - move a boundary, fix a word, change the look, and send it out.

You recorded it once. That should be enough.

What you get

  • A list of clips from any long recording, the strongest first.
  • Cuts that open and close on a whole thought, not mid-word.
  • Subtitles burned into the picture, for feeds that play without sound.
  • Vertical, square, portrait or wide, chosen per clip.
  • A title written for each clip, yours to rewrite.
  • The full transcript, searchable, and downloadable as SRT or plain text.
  • Around a hundred spoken languages.
  • Your projects and clips kept on your own machine.

Made for people who talk for a living

Podcasters An episode a week, and no time to comb through it for the shareable bits.
Teachers and speakers Lectures and talks that hold one good explanation people would pass on.
Coaches and consultants Calls and sessions that quietly answer the question everyone else is asking.
Anyone with an archive Years of recordings already made, and nothing short to show for them.

What it costs

You buy minutes and spend them on the length of what you analyse, rounded up to the minute. A one-hour recording costs sixty minutes, once. Reviewing its clips, moving the cuts, changing the subtitles and exporting the whole set again costs nothing.
